Golf Academy

Oakland Park Golf Club is the ideal venue for the new golfer with its excellent practice facilities, which include its own driving range, and level playing golf course, therefore offering the perfect environment for inexperienced golfers to get acquainted with the "great game" in relaxed and friendly surroundings.

In conjunction with our resident PGA Professionals, Dale Moore & Alistair Thatcher, we would like to introduce you to our academy targeted at beginners to the game or inexperienced golfers who are not sure of the next step.

Dale & Alistair has formulated a programme of six lessons that will introduce you to, or enhance your golfing ability and knowledge of playing the game. Each lesson is booked on a one-to-one basis at a time to suit you. At the end of the course you will be presented with your "Academy Certificiate" and an opportunity to join Oakland Park Golf Club.

The cost of the academy is £95.00, which is payable in advance or at the first lesson and also includes a FREE basket of balls at the end of each lesson for you to perfect your new skills!

• Lesson 1 - General assessment
• Lesson 2 - Basics of Golf, including grip, stance and balance
• Lesson 3 - Swing analysis
• Lesson 4 - The short game, including chipping, putting and bunker shots
• Lesson 5 - Rules of golf, etiquette and golfing traditions
• Lesson 6 - A four-hole playing lesson on the course
